We love Obagi here at Synergy! I use to indoor tan for 10 years until I became an Esthetician and saw the damage tanning was causing on my skin. I was only 25 at the time I started working in the Skincare industry. I started using pharmaceutical grade products and learned to stay out of the sun unless I wore protection. When I turned 30 I started getting acne and had lot’s of brown spots starting to show up on my face. I started on the Nu-Derm System from Obagi. I felt hopeless since I felt most of the problems were internal and hormone related and I felt I had tried everything I knew to help with my esthetic background. Also I was nervous because I have sensitive skin that never reacted well to Tretinoin. I figured I would trust my skin to our amazing Para-Medical Aesthetician here and stop trying to figure it all out on my own, which was causing me more stress. She started me on this system and I decided to just stick with whatever she said. It took about 6 weeks before I started noticing the good results because this program is a process. I have attached a link to Obagi’s website that explains more, but at first I was red and peeled a little while my skin acclimated to this new, very active system. FINALLY my skin started clearing and the brown began to clear up. I have been on this system for a year now and I LOVE IT! I also get regular skin exfoliating treatments and continue to be very disciplined with my skin regiment. Here are the steps and instructions below.

#1. Gentle Cleanser or Foaming Gel – removes impurities, oil, and makeup to leave skin clean and fresh. (Morning & Night)

#2. Toner – Adjusts the pH of the skin to prepare it for better penetration of other product ingredients. (Morning & Night)

#3. Clear – Gentle yet effective prescription-strength hydroquinone helps correct the appearance of age and sun spots on the surface of your skin (the spots you can see) for a healthier, more even complexion. (Morning)

#4. Exfoderm (dry skin) or Exfoderm Forte (oily skin) – A lightweight lotion that helps exfoliate the top layer of skin, removing dull, old skin cells while revealing new skin cells for a brighter complexion. (Morning)

#5. Blender – This product is combined with Tretinoin using only a pea size of each and mixing them together then applying to your face. It’s a unique formula containing prescription-strength hydroquinone for the gradual lightening of sun spots, age spots, and other types of discoloration. It works by breaking up the browns deep in the dermis (lower layers of skin). (Night)

#6. Tretinoin- Presciption only. Tretinoin is the carboxylic acid form of vitamin A and is also known as all-trans retinoic acid or ATRA. Will need a Free Consult to determine strength. This product is mixed with the blender and creates rapid turnover of cells preventing breakouts and reducing some wrinkles, areas of darkened skin (hyperpigmentation), and rough areas of skin. (Night)

#7. Hydrate- Facial moisturizer with Hydromanil that provides all-day protection and is suitable for all skin types. (Night)

#8. Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 – Sunscreen that combines UVB absorption and UVA blockage for high sunscreen protection in a sheer, matte finish. (Morning)
